Google Ad Grants
Get the $10,000 USD monthly Google Search credit spending, staying compliant, and producing referrals a director can report.
What you get
- A new application, or a suspended account brought back into policy
- Campaigns mapped to programs so the 5 percent click-through floor is never at risk
- Conversion tracking for donations, volunteer sign-ups and referrals
- A monthly report a comms director can put in front of a board
Ten thousand dollars a month only helps if it spends
Most charities that hold a Google Ad Grant use a fraction of it. The account was set up once, never rebuilt around grant rules, and now either underspends or sits suspended. That is free program money left on the table.
We manage the grant as its own discipline, not as a side task inside a paid-search retainer. If you also need paid campaigns that sit beside the grant, that work lives on our paid search page.
What we do
- Application and recovery. New submissions, and rescue work on accounts Google has limited or paused.
- Structure the grant will accept. Tight ad groups, program-level campaigns, query control, and geographic settings that keep you inside policy.
- Conversions a board understands. Donation with value, volunteer application, resource download, referral form. Reported in GA4 against cost per outcome.
- Stay in policy. Bid-cap behaviour, single-word keyword rules, the 5 percent click-through floor, and the quarterly activity checks.
- A one-page monthly note. What spent, what it produced, what we will change. Written for an executive director, not a media-buying team.
Who this is for
The person who has to explain to a board why the grant is either working or wasting a seat. If that is you, start with an email. The first consultation is free.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Google Ad Grant and do we qualify?
Eligible Canadian charities can receive up to 10,000 USD per month in Google Search advertising credit. You need registered-charity status in good standing, a substantive HTTPS website, and no purely commercial intent. We handle the application and the account structure the grant actually rewards.
Why is our Ad Grant underspending or suspended?
The grant punishes commercial-style setup: a 2 USD bid cap, a 5 percent minimum click-through rate, and conversion-tracking rules. Accounts built like brand campaigns stall or get shut off. Accounts built around specific program queries spend the credit and send people to the right form.
Is this only for nonprofits?
The Google Ad Grant itself is for eligible charities. Government and hospital teams who cannot use the grant still belong on a paid-search conversation, which we keep on a separate page so the rules are never mixed.
Who should own this internally?
The comms or digital lead. We write the account so a person who is not a media buyer can understand what spent, what it produced, and what we will change next month.
