The situation

Northlight supports youth mental health across several provinces. The families who need them most were asking questions in Google and, increasingly, in ChatGPT and Perplexity — but the answers surfaced generic national sources, not the local foundation with the actual programs.

What we did

We treated answer engines as a first-class channel, structuring content so it was quotable, verifiable and unambiguous.

  • Mapped the real questions families ask into a topic and entity model
  • Rewrote key pages into clear, extractable, source-worthy answers
  • Added FAQPage, MedicalWebPage and breadcrumb structured data
  • Built citations and consistency signals so AI models trust the source

The result

Northlight is now cited in 58 distinct AI answers, holds 31 featured snippets and grew non-brand organic clicks by 167% — putting the right help in front of families at the exact moment they search for it.

We didn't just want traffic. We wanted to be the trusted answer. Holistic made that measurable.
