The situation

Rivershed Conservancy protects one of British Columbia's most important watersheds, but their digital presence didn't reflect their real-world impact. Their site ranked for their brand name and almost nothing else. Prospective donors, volunteers and grant partners simply couldn't find them at the moment they were searching.

What we did

We started with a full technical and content audit, then rebuilt the information architecture around the questions people actually search — habitat restoration, watershed volunteering and regional conservation giving.

  • Rebuilt site architecture around donor and volunteer intent
  • Fixed crawl, indexation and Core Web Vitals issues dragging the whole domain down
  • Published a focused library of entity-rich guides on watershed ecology and local giving
  • Implemented Organization, FAQPage and article structured data across the site

The result

Within nine months, Rivershed ranked on page one for 42 priority terms, organic sessions grew 214% and traffic to donation pages more than tripled — all without a single dollar of paid media.

Holistic understood our mission before they touched a single meta tag. The growth has been real, and it's the right kind of growth.
